About Kota
Kota is reimagining insurance and retirement benefits for the modern workforce. Through our two flagship products—Kota Platform, the first fully integrated benefits platform, and Kota Embed, our embedded insurance solution—we're making benefits more accessible, valued, and global.
Today, we power benefits for tens of thousands of employees at Europe's most forward-thinking companies, including Carwow, Tines, Zoe, and Remote. Founded in 2022, we've raised more than €20M from leading investors like EQT Ventures, Eurazeo, Northzone, and Frontline, along with founders and executives from Workday, Remote, Personio, OpenAI, and more.
The Role
At Kota, our products are powered by integrations with financial services providers, like insurers and pension providers, that sit at the heart of everything we do. As our Integrations Associate, you’ll help ensure those integrations run reliably day to day while also supporting the addition of new carriers and providers that expand our network and strengthen our offering. Your work will support tens of thousands of employees across more than 100 countries who depend on Kota to access their benefits. You’ll play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and improving the systems that keep our products connected.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about APIs, fintech, and how complex systems fit together all while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Take part in governance meetings to track how our integrations with carriers and providers are performing, making sure data flows as expected and issues are identified early.
Help troubleshoot and resolve integration problems as they come up, working with internal teams to keep systems running smoothly and minimise any impact on users.
Support the onboarding of new insurers and financial providers from setup and requirements gathering to testing and documentation, helping expand Kota’s network and offering.
Keep integration documentation organised, accurate, and easy for internal teams to use.
Work closely with the Benefits, Compliance, Engineering, and Carrier Partnerships teams to share updates, capture new requirements, and ensure our integrations evolve with the business.
Proactively look for ways to improve how we manage integrations, identifying recurring issues or opportunities to make processes more efficient and scalable.
What You Can Expect
Hands-on learning and exposure to real world APIs and fintech systems.
Guidance, mentorship, and opportunities to build your technical and problem-solving skills.
A high degree of ownership over tasks, with room to grow into more responsibility.
Collaboration with multiple teams in a company that values openness, experimentation, and impact.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
Is genuinely curious about technology, APIs, and how complex systems connect and wants to turn that curiosity into hands-on expertise.
Has a problem solver’s mindset: you like tackling challenges, spotting patterns, and finding smarter ways to get things done.
Cares about getting the details right, but can also see how the small things fit into the bigger picture.
Communicates clearly, confidently, and proactively - keeping teams aligned and driving progress forward.
Thrives in collaborative environments, working comfortably with both technical and non-technical teammates.
Brings energy, initiative, and a sense of ownership to every task, no matter how big or small.
Is motivated by the chance to grow quickly, take on increasing responsibility, and help shape how a fast scaling company builds its partnerships and systems.
Nice to Haves
Exposure to financial services, fintech, or insurtech.
Basic familiarity with APIs, scripting, or software development concepts.
Experience documenting processes or technical information.
Project coordination or task management experience.
Our Values
Have Integrity. We care deeply about our why and it won’t jeopardise our how.
Care Deeply. Our products are our story, we look at the details, go the extra mile to delight customers.
Own Your Ship. Ask why, do the work, get the data, solve the problem, be an owner.
Raise the Bar. We continuously look to push past good enough. Expect more, move faster, and never stop raising your and the team’s standards.
Play to Win. We exist because we decided to say no to the norm – now we do this everyday.
Our Hiring Process
We like to keep things simple and respectful of your time — here’s what you can expect:
Intro Chat (30 mins): A casual conversation with the Head of Integrations to learn more about you, your experience, and what you’re looking for. We’ll also tell you more about Kota and the role.
Technical Interview (60 mins)
This session is a chance to work through a real world problem together. We’ll look at how you think, approach challenges, and communicate your ideas. You’ll talk through how you’d gather information, troubleshoot an issue, or outline a process. We’ll also touch on some of the technical areas you’d work with in the role, like APIs and other integration methods, to get a feel for your understanding and curiosity. The focus is on how you think and learn, not on having all the answers
Final Chat (30–45 mins)
A conversation with 1-2 of our founders, focused on getting to know you as a person. How you think, what drives you, and whether we’re aligned in values and ways of working. It’s as much about culture fit as it is about mutual excitement.
That’s it. No take-home assignments. No endless rounds. Just a chance for both of us to get to know each other and see if it’s a good fit.
