We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and mission-driven Program Manager to expand two of OpenAI’s flagship public-facing initiatives across the Asia Pacific region: OpenAI Academy, our AI literacy and up-skilling platform, and OpenAI Forum, our convening space for expert dialogue on the future of AI.
You’ll support the design, localization, and execution of programming that resonates across diverse APAC communities. You’ll help identify, build, and maintain partnerships with regional organizations; grow and engage audiences across countries; and produce thoughtful, accessible content that connects OpenAI’s mission to key APAC and international stakeholders.
From brainstorming session topics, to coordinating events with local partners, to supporting multilingual audience engagement, you'll play a hands-on role in making these programs dynamic, culturally relevant, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Logistics
Support the Director of Outreach and Audience Engagement in day-to-day execution of Academy and Forum programming aligned with OpenAI’s global and regional policy goals.
Coordinate virtual and in-person events, workshops, and discussions across APAC, ensuring programming is culturally relevant and locally informed.
Manage timelines, guest communications, vendors, travel, and follow-ups for regional activations.
Track KPIs, participant feedback, and performance metrics, and provide regular reporting across initiatives.
Content Development & Video Editing
Help brainstorm session topics, regional speakers, and narrative formats tailored to APAC audiences for Academy courses and Forum discussions.
Support development of clear, accessible written materials such as discussion guides, course outlines, and event summaries—potentially adapting them for multilingual contexts.
Community Engagement & Amplification
Support outreach to educators, nonprofits, industry groups, and public-sector stakeholders across APAC.
Work with design and communications teams to amplify Academy and Forum content via blog posts, social media, and public events.
Help gather and synthesize feedback from participants and partners to shape future programming.
Qualifications
Experience leading or coordinating high-impact programs with multiple stakeholders, ideally across different countries or regions.
Background in program or project management, ideally in content, education, policy, or public engagement.
Strong creative instincts and comfort generating ideas for sessions, speakers, and content formats that resonate across cultures.
Basic video editing skills (e.g., clipping conversations into short segments) and ability to collaborate with production and regional creative partners.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage cross-border logistics.
Strong writing and editing skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely, including with international audiences.
Passion for OpenAI’s mission and interest in AI literacy, digital skills, education, or the societal impacts of emerging technologies.
Familiarity with instructional design, public affairs, or community-building.
