THE TEAM
The HR Business Partner team serves as a strategic consulting function that partners closely with leaders across Nintendo of America to align talent, organizational, and workforce strategies with business goals. As trusted advisors, HRBPs support leaders through all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation discussions, and change management.
As a Principal HR Business Partner will support a dynamic portfolio of client groups and serve as a key thought partner to leaders, helping them navigate complex people challenges while driving organizational effectiveness and long-term business success. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence decision making, and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.

SUMMARY:
Leverages knowledge and influence to build trusted partnerships with department leaders at all levels of the organization, including executives. Provides strategic consultative support that ensures the efficient and effective delivery of HR programs and services that support development of organizational and talent capability in assigned client group(s). Contributes to the design and execution of all aspects of talent attraction, development and engagement.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, leveraging HR expertise and business acumen to align people strategies with organizational goals.
- Understands the senior leadership's perspective and client's core functions and related inter-dependencies, and makes recommendations to help drive results in service to the success of the organization's immediate, short and mid-term plans.
- Skillfully leverages the functions and intersecting disciplines of the HR organization and the related services and products available to the workforce.
- Owns and leads research, builds and delivers realistic solutions, methods, and tools independently or in partnership with cross-functional teams.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in multiple HR disciplines, including: designing, developing and executing company wide HR strategies, talent staffing, learning and development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness and team development.
- Experience leading and executing projects and change management initiatives.
- Technical and functional knowledge of state and federal employment labor laws, workers’ compensation, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, benefit programs, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to coach and advise senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, leadership effectiveness, talent decisions, employee engagement, and change management.
- Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to build long-term trusted relationships.
- Experience supporting technical client groups, including software engineering, product development, technology, R&D, or other highly specialized workforces preferred.
- Ability to translate business objectives into talent and organizational strategies within technical environments preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- PHR highly desired, SPHR or GPHR a plus.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
