The Infrastructure Administrator II is responsible for the administration, support, and security of Interstates’ IT infrastructure. This role provides advanced Tier 2 support and maintains servers, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. It also manages user access, patching, backups, and routine infrastructure improvements. The position works closely with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues and support technology initiatives. The Infrastructure Administrator II helps ensure system reliability, security, and continuity of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain servers, virtual environments, network devices, and cloud platforms.
- Configure, deploy, and support hardware, software, and infrastructure services across the enterprise.
- Manage user access, permissions, group policies, and account lifecycle processes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime; respond to and resolve escalated issues.
- Execute and improve patching, backup, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
- Support LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, and connectivity issues for internal and remote users.
- Provide advanced Tier 2 troubleshooting for infrastructure, system, and application issues.
- Identify automation and standardization opportunities and document repeatable processes.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement and support technology solutions.
- Support security controls and compliance requirements.
Experience and Education:
- 3–5+ years of experience in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.
- Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and software deployment.
- Exposure to cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and vendor collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Travel: Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Travel should not exceed 30% of your time.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $79,100 to $108,770+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience.
