**This is a hybrid position that requires 2 days per week in office at our Bangalore location**
The Senior Software Engineer is a senior-level position on the CES Connections engineering team, utilizing in-depth knowledge and experience to solve complex problems and lead large or high-profile projects that power Syndigo's product data integrations. This role applies creative approaches to improve existing engineering processes, analyzes and resolves escalated technical issues, and serves as a resource for less-experienced colleagues. The Senior Software Engineer works independently with minimal supervision and influences others within the engineering team and across other areas.
HOW WE’LL BE WINNING TOGETHER DAY TO DAY
- Design, develop, and test highly scalable, cloud-native software applications using modern engineering best practices, design patterns, and clean architecture.
- Build and maintain data import/export frameworks supporting formats such as delimited files, Excel, Access, XML, JSON, and APIs.
- Integrate internal and external systems using REST APIs, microservices, event-driven messaging, and Microsoft Azure services including Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
- Design, develop, and optimize secure, high-performance REST APIs for large-scale data ingestion and distribution.
- Implement configurable data mappings and transformation pipelines to support customer-specific schemas and business rules.
- Perform API testing and validation using Postman and automated test frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data pipelines, integrations, and APIs, with a focus on reliability and observability.
- Write automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and continuously improve code quality.
- Lead design discussions and architecture decisions for high-profile features within the CES Connections platform.
- Analyze and resolve escalated technical issues, serving as a subject-matter resource for less-experienced engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams on requirements, CI/CD automation, deployment, and operations.
- Work in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence, collaborating across global teams and time zones.

- 5+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software using Microsoft technologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET Core.
- 5+ years of experience with RESTful API design and development.
- 3+ years of experience parsing and processing JSON, XML, HTML, and SQL.
- 3+ years of experience with data import/export systems and complex data transformations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a cloud-native environment.
- 3+ years of experience using GitHub for source control and collaboration.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with Azure Blob Storage, Application Insights, Service Bus, durable messaging, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of e-commerce or healthcare platforms (preferred but not required).
- Practical experience using AI developer tools to assist with coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, and incident analysis (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of related software engineering experience.
