Design at Remote is a 40+ multi-disciplinary team of designers and creatives passionate about crafting the experiences that help Remote scale successfully and help customers find, hire, manage and pay anyone, anywhere 🌍
At Remote, we look for Senior Product Designers who are well-experienced, have high-level of maturity across the end-to-end design process, can autonomously lead design within a product team and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You will be part of a thriving cross-functional organisation, where you will collaborate with Designers, Engineers and Product Managers worldwide to deliver remarkable user experiences to customers.
What you bring
- An individual contributor with an impressive portfolio of product design work demonstrating your maturity across the end-to-end design process, not only showcasing your ability to identify and understand problems to solve, but deliver delightful, well-crafted user interfaces that have tangible impact on users.
- Persuasive communication skills that help you build strong narratives around your design work, provide direction and guidance to others, as well as collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders - with fluent written and spoken English.
- A systems thinker who champions the importance of holistic thinking, is comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and has a work history that demonstrates an ability to autonomously take ownership of design for complex domains and/or multiple projects.
- Strong evidence that you are an effective cross-functional collaborator with your product and engineering counterparts and are able to work effectively to build consensus and resolve debates and drive the business towards impactful outcomes.
- You are an engaged member of your design organization whose focus is not only delivering quality user experiences, but help shape our design culture and ways of working.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex B2B SaaS solutions for industries like HRTech, FinTech etc.

Key Responsibilities
- Influencing strategy for your product team, identifying opportunities for impact in collaboration with your stakeholders and cross-functional peers.
- Applying the right research methodology at the right time, helping you and your team empathise with customer challenges and developing an intimate knowledge of the problem being solved.
- Leveraging AI prototyping as a tool for exploring conceptual ideas, iterating with your cross-functional peers and these bringing ideas to life with functional flows.
- Crafting high-fidelity user interfaces with flair at velocity, expressing your maturity in interaction design and maintaining our exceptional bar for quality, while delivering at speed.
- Leading compelling vision initiatives for your team and domain, influencing and visualising the direction-of-travel and opportunities for innovation.
- Solving problems holistically with systems-thinking, understanding the ripple effect of your design decisions and ensuring scalability, while avoiding introducing unnecessary variation to our information architecture and experiences.
- Communicating persuasively, weaving storytelling narratives around your work to bring peers on the journey with you, while triaging their critique and feedback efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborating transparently in the open, proactively sharing your work with the wider organisation to solicit frequent feedback and identifying opportunities for cross-domain collaboration.
- Advocating usage of our design system Norma to its best advantage, understanding when to follow it strictly or deviate, improve and contribute back.
- Championing our experience principles by ensuring simplicity, usability, scalability and accessibility in all user experiences we deliver.
- Being an active member of our cross-functional culture by advocating quality, shaping our ways of working and providing peer support, critique and feedback to others.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $140,400. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
