About the Role
We’re looking for a business-minded Commercial Counsel with experience drafting and negotiating sales agreements with leading global and domestic organizations. This role will report to the Director and Assistant General Counsel, Commercial, and will serve as a legal partner to cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the company.
This is a full-time position based out of one of our US offices. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do
- Support Fivetran’s sales organization by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements, including MSAs, order forms, DPAs, BAAs, and related amendments
- Partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Security, and RevOps to facilitate efficient deal execution while managing legal and business risk
- Advise on contractual issues related to data protection, privacy, security, IP, liability, and compliance ina SaaS environment
- Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to help close deals while maintaining scalable contracting processes
Skills We’re Looking For
- 4 to 7 years’ experience negotiating and drafting sales agreements, including in-house experience at a SaaS or technology company and/or law firm.
- Working knowledge of data privacy, security, and technology contracting issues in a B2B SaaS context
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong communication skills and comfort advising non-legal stakeholders
- Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail, with demonstrated self-initiative that drives a desire for impact and achievement.
- Admitted to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
Bonus Skills
- CIPP (US) certification is a plus.
