- Design target data models and field mappings when consolidating or migrating data between systems.
- Build, test, and execute the SQL and Python transformations that reshape and load business data, including bulk migrations and ongoing pipelines.
- Define and enforce standards for data quality, data modeling, and governance across internal systems.
- Validate data before and after migrations and pipeline changes, reconciling record counts, values, and business rules with stakeholders.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks that give end-to-end visibility into data freshness and accuracy.
- Work with business partner teams to understand their processes and translate requirements into data models and transformations.
- Investigate and resolve data issues raised by other teams, often requiring root cause analysis across multiple systems.
Skills We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering roles, with a focus on modeling and transforming business data.
- Strong SQL proficiency is required, including complex transformations and data reconciliation.

- Experience with ETL/ELT development and data quality testing.
- Ability to learn a business domain quickly and align data modeling decisions with business requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.
- Hands-on experience with the Salesforce data model, ideally including a data migration, org merge, or major re-implementation.
- Familiarity with iPaaS platforms and reverse ETL tools, their capabilities, and tradeoffs.
