Role
The Business Developer is responsible for leading capture activities that drive growth for Redwire Poland and is accountable for qualification, shaping, and winning new business opportunities.
You will partner closely with engineering, program management, finance, and other business units to develop winning strategies, inform product roadmaps through market insights, and ensure pursuits are aligned with Redwire Poland’s growth objectives.
This role manages the full capture lifecycle, including customer engagement, competitive assessment, pursuit strategy development, and proposal leadership to secure new bookings.
The position will be responsible for compiling cost information, schedule information, and technical elements in accordance with the solicited request from a customer.
The BD Lead will participate and/or lead reviews leading to the submission of proposal documents and will closely manage a schedule that outlines critical milestones and decision points.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, pay close attention to details, and have excellent communication and writing abilities.
This position is based in Warsaw under a hybrid work model and offers the opportunity to collaborate with European & US colleagues.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end capture activities, developing and maintaining a qualified pipeline for Redwire Poland
Shape opportunities through proactive customer engagement, regular follow-up, and participation in industry conferences and events
Support cross-functional teams—including engineering, program management, finance, and contracts—to develop pursuit and bid strategies
Coordinate the development, review, and submission of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and proposal documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the overall capture strategy
Develop and communicate capture plans, opportunity reviews, and win strategies to business unit leadership
Support creation and evolution of Redwire Poland products and technology roadmaps by providing market-driven insights
Collaborate effectively with corporate BD, marketing, and government relations staff on enterprise-wide pursuit efforts
Ideal Experience
Fundamental understanding of European Space Agency (ESA), European Commission (EC), European Defense Agency (EDA), and Polish national space programs
Experience with end-to-end proposal management for Sub-contractor and Prime bids
Proficiency in technical writing and creating “one voice” messaging
Proposal development tools for proficiency: Microsoft Office Product Suite (including advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint and Teams.
Experience managing multiple proposals simultaneously.
Experience with Business Development processes, capture processes, pipeline management, and keep the team focused.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent time management and self-starting abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Adaptability and resilience to adjust to shifting priorities and RFP changes.
Strong communication skills – verbal and written – in English.
Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline; or 5+ years of experience in place of a degree
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Demonstrated ability to understand customer technical and programmatic requirements and translate them into actionable capture strategies.
Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
Experience preparing Pricing Volumes including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE)
Experience with Salesforce
Experience with Asana
