This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space in Employee Lifecycle Operations, by joining our Employee Lifecycle team.
As a Senior Occupational Health & Safety Specialist you will ensure that all activities related to the occupational health and safety of employees are performed effectively, compliantly, and on time across multiple countries supported by Remote. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and managing vendor partnerships, driving the contracting processes, and be in charge of rolling out all events related to health and safety across the globe for Remote’s employees.
What you bring
- Occupational Health and Safety certification/degree and experience covering multiple countries across Europe.
- Experience scouting, onboarding, and/or managing vendors and partners.
- Ability to quickly engage and support external employees and vendors across multiple countries.
- Good analytical and project management skills, with the ability to map and implement new processes.
- Team player who works independently and communicates proactively and positively.
- A growth and problem-solving mindset. You can shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change and do so quickly and effectively.
- Writes and speaks fluent English. Additional language proficiency will be considered a plus.
- It is not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute solutions for Occupational Health and Safety matters with minimal supervision across multiple jurisdictions to ensure a safe and healthy work environment and prioritizing a superior employee experience for Remote’s clients and employees.
- Serve as an internal point of contact for routine and non-routine OHS questions, providing guidance to junior team members.
- Manage the relationship and deliverables of current OHS vendors, training partners, and health centers to carry out all necessary events.
- Monitor vendor performance through comprehensive assessments and consistent feedback.
- Lead the team’s engagement with Remote’s employees in providing them with their health assessment and safety training needs.
- Coordinate and execute country Occupational Health and Safety internal audits to support compliance with local regulations.
- Identify, develop, and recommend improvements to existing Occupational Health and Safety procedures and practices and launch new processes from scratch.
- Partner with the People and Legal teams to draft and develop new Health and Safety policies.
- Be an internal and external champion of Remote's values and the Lifecycle team's goals.
- Safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information, adhering to established protocols, and ensuring utmost professionalism and discretion in handling and accessing such information
