Job Score
70 ptsWant to help everyday Americans invest and build wealth? Financial inequality is increasing, and too many people are getting left behind. At Stash, we're passionate about democratizing wealth creation through education, advice, and products that help customers achieve greater financial freedom. We also believe in working smarter—leveraging AI and emerging technologies to move faster, operate more efficiently, and focus our time on solving meaningful problems for our customers.
We're looking for a Performance Creative Strategist to lead the creative behind Stash's paid growth. You'll be part of our growing Growth team and report to the Sr. Director of Acquisition. You'll own performance creative across our paid channels from ideation to execution, with real influence over how new customers discover and convert into Stash.
This is an individual contributor role with real scope and huge impact: you'll build and manage a network of internal and external partners—designers, video editors, and agencies—to keep a steady pipeline of high-performing creative moving. Meta is our initial focus, with other channels following soon after.
We're looking for someone who thinks in hooks and hypotheses, reads performance data fluently, and knows how to turn a test-and-learn process into a repeatable engine for growth.
What you'll do:
Own performance creative strategy
- Develop and own the creative strategy - leading with Meta and expanding to display, email, TV, audio, and others over time - with a focus on new customer acquisition
- Generate a high volume of creative concepts, from big swings to fast iterations
- Build and manage a testing calendar that keeps a constant stream of new creative in market
Brief and manage contractors
- Source, brief, and manage a network of partners—designers, video editors, and agencies—to bring concepts to life
- Balance speed, creativity, and budget across multiple contractor relationships
- Give clear, actionable feedback to keep quality high and turnaround fast
Analyze and iterate
- Analyze performance data to identify what's working and why
- Turn learnings into new hypotheses and briefs, closing the loop between data and creative
- Report on creative performance and share insights with the broader acquisition and marketing teams
Partner cross-functionally
- Collaborate with Growth, Brand, and Customer Experience to keep creative aligned with broader business goals and brand voice
- Provide creative input on campaign planning and new product launches
What we're looking for:
Your success will be measured not by likes or shares, but by performance metrics like CAC, ROAS, and new customer acquisition. You understand that great performance creative sits at the intersection of data and storytelling, and you're energized by the process of testing your way to what works. You can name specific ads you have created and know their performance stats by heart.
- Experience developing and executing paid social creative strategy, with a track record tied to performance metrics
- Experience managing outside creators, freelancers, or agencies, including budget and timeline management
- Comfort working with performance data to inform creative decisions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear creative briefs and give effective feedback
Gold Stars
- Experience with Meta media buying
- Experience working on shoots or creating content yourself
- Familiarity with fintech, consumer finance, or another regulated industry
- A curiosity and familiarity with AI tools that can help streamline and improve processes
- Video editing experience
- Have your own network of creative partners (content creators, editors, designers)
