We are looking for an experience Business Travel Consultant to build a strong, long-lasting relationship with an important client of ours, taking the time to understand their business, travel policies, and unique requirements. You will deliver a high-touch, consultative service, providing expert travel advice and tailored solutions that save clients valuable time, improve traveller experience, and help reduce overall travel spend.
Working as a trusted partner to your customer, you will manage complex travel arrangements, proactively resolve issues, and ensure every journey runs as smoothly as possible. Through exceptional customer service, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping the client, you will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth. This role requires a combination of relationship management, problem-solving, and industry expertise to consistently deliver a best-in-class travel experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide a dedicated, high-touch service to a single client and their travellers, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Manage travel bookings from end to end across air, rail, hotel, car hire, ferry and other ancillary travel products.
- Deliver cost-effective travel solutions while balancing traveller experience and company policy.
- Act as a trusted advisor, proactively recommending alternative routes, airports, rail options and fare opportunities to improve value and convenience.
- Support pre-trip approval processes and advise on passport, visa and travel requirements.
- Ensure all bookings comply with client policy, data security standards and internal quality control procedures.
- Source the best available hotel, air and rail rates through GDS and non-GDS channels.
- Monitor bookings for ongoing savings opportunities, including fare reductions, split ticketing and alternative inventory options.
- Manage your own ticket issuance, reissues and changes for air and rail bookings.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with the client's Travel Manager on policy-related matters and escalations.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and participate in training and ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a corporate travel or business travel environment.
- Strong knowledge of air, hotel and rail booking processes, including complex international itineraries.
- Experience issuing tickets, processing exchanges and calculating fare changes.
- Working knowledge of at least one GDS system (Sabre, Amadeus or Galileo) and the Evolvi rail booking platform.
- Good understanding of European rail networks, airline fare structures, low-cost carriers and travel industry products.
- Ability to identify savings opportunities while maintaining a high level of service.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a proactive, consultative approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and travel volumes.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
