The Senior Strategic Finance Analyst, GTM will serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the global Sales, Marketing and Support and Services organizations. This role will play an integral and strategic role in shaping the trajectory and success of Docker’s rapidly growing GTM function.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert in all aspects of Sales, Marketing and Customer Success across all business segments, channels and products

  • Drive the FP&A process for the GTM teams including headcount and operating expense management, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts, scenario modeling and regular business reviews

  • Partner closely with our Marketing team to review program spend and other investment opportunities

  • Collaborate with Finance and GTM leadership on the top line sales forecasting process (Bookings, ARR, Net Dollar Retention, Renewals etc.)

  • Track and ensure accurate measurement of Bookings, ARR, Net Dollar Retention and Renewals etc

  • Develop, own and maintain quota/capacity models, pipeline/waterfall models, TAM analysis and support ad hoc modeling as needed

  • Define, track and analyze unit economics and other metrics that measure the efficacy of sales & marketing investments, ROI/attribution and efficiency

  • Support compensation plan design and modeling

  • Partner with Accounting, Sales Ops and Finance to ensure financial processes and reporting supports and scales with GTM and corporate needs

  • Provide analysis and insights to support the monthly and quarterly business review processes, BOD packages and other critical reporting

  • Use AI as the default way of working: AI-generated first drafts for analysis, modeling, and reporting, faster scenario work, and narrative synthesis. Docker is an AI-first company and we expect AI to be embedded in how this role operates day to day

  • Build automation that scales the function: AI-powered workflows, agents, and reusable tools connected to the systems we run on that cut manual effort, speed up reporting, and give leadership faster self-serve visibility

  • Play an integral role in scaling our finance team, financial infrastructure, models, tools, reporting automation and AI-driven planning process

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of FP&A experience with prior experience supporting GTM teams

  • Understanding of SaaS and consumption business model revenue drivers and metrics

  • Highly collaborative and proactive in building effective relationships with business and cross-functional partners.

  • Able to prioritize and balance multiple projects.

  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills. SQL is a plus.

  • Hands-on proficiency and demonstrated track record of shipping real outcomes and improvements with AI tools (e.g., Claude, LLMs, AI features within finance platforms) in day-to-day financial work including analysis, modeling, reporting, and research. Docker is an AI-first company and demonstrated AI usage is a core expectation for this role.

  • Prior experience with Salesforce, Sigma/BI, ERP (NetSuite) and FP&A Platforms (we leverage Pigment) is a must

  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

What to expect

First 30 days

  • Learn the business and the numbers. Build relationships with the Sales, Marketing, and CS finance partners and Sales Ops, get deep into the GTM revenue model and forecast methodology, and get fluent in the systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, Pigment).

  • Shadow the month-end close and the monthly business review cadence, and begin taking on general finance business partnership duties.

  • Get hands on AI tooling immediately.Identify the first manual, repetitive workflow worth automating.

First 90 days

  • Take complete ownership of planning and analysis for the Go-to-Market functions: opex and headcount tracking, the monthly forecast, and the analysis that feeds business reviews and board packages.

  • Ship your first automation. An AI-powered workflow or reusable model connected to our systems that cuts manual effort in forecasting or reporting.

  • Have a point of view. GTM partners are coming to you with questions on spend, pipeline, and capacity, and you're translating the data into a clear "so what" and a recommendation.

One Year Outlook

  • Drive the entire FP&A process for the GTM teams: headcount and operating expense management, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts, scenario modeling, and regular business reviews.

  • Own the analytics and automation roadmap for your scope. The models and workflows you've built are how the team and GTM leaders see performance, and you've measurably reduced manual effort through AI.
