How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
Bring substantial experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, technical marketing, DevOps, solutions architecture, or demo engineering.
Apply experience in cybersecurity, identity, Privileged Access Management (PAM), developer tools, or a related technical domain.
Build full-stack and automation solutions using technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, or Python, with experience designing systems that other engineers can build on.
Design and operate infrastructure using infrastructure as code, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), containers, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Understand identity and access management concepts, including single sign-on (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OpenID Connect (OIDC), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), device trust, passwordless authentication, and passkeys.
Balance speed, reliability, cost, and security while explaining technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
Create interactive software-as-a-service (SaaS) demos and guided product experiences using platforms such as Reprise, Navattic, Walnut, or Arcade; experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools such as Jamf, live event demos, utilization analysis, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted tooling, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers is also valuable.
What you can expect:
Set the technical vision, roadmap, and long-term architecture for 1Password’s demo platform.
Lead the design of shared demo infrastructure, including templates, automated provisioning and resets, data generation, and observability.
Build sample applications and integrations across 1Password products to support demos and enablement programs.
Support complex, high-visibility demos for flagship launches, keynotes, conferences, and strategic customer opportunities.
Drive AI-assisted tooling that automates demo preparation, validation, and maintenance.
Partner with Engineering Security on demo environments and lead architecture and code reviews.
Mentor Demo Engineers and Senior Demo Engineers while representing Demo Engineering in cross-functional technical decisions and product roadmap discussions.
Travel quarterly, including cross-border travel, for conferences and company offsites.
