We’re looking for a Senior Technical SEO Analyst to improve the technical foundations that help 1Password.com attract qualified audiences, support conversion, and build category authority across consumer, product-led growth (PLG), and enterprise experiences. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who moves beyond audits to diagnose root causes, recommend practical solutions, implement changes, and partner with Web Engineering when improvements require code or platform development. Reporting to the Senior Manager, SEO and GEO.

On the Marketing team, we’re growing our AI capability together and redesigning how work gets done. We’ve built agents to improve workflows focused on competitive intelligence, content creation, and campaign planning, helping us stay sharp, reduce context-switching, and surface the right information at the right time. AI helps us coordinate, execute, and uncover insights fasterso we can spend more time on what’s most important: performance, judgement, and driving the future of 1Password.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience on a complex software as a service (SaaS), enterprise, international, or multi-audience website.

• Strong knowledge of crawling, indexing, rendering, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps, robots directives, structured data, JavaScript SEO, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, and international SEO.

• Experience moving from technical diagnosis to implementation through content management system (CMS) changes, engineering requirements, release quality assurance (QA), and measurement.

• Experience with an enterprise or headless CMS, including content models, publishing workflows, governance, and data quality.

• Experience supporting a domain, CMS, platform, or acquired-site migration.

• Strong analytical judgment and working knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript, crawl tools, Google Search Console, web analytics, and monitoring systems.

• Clear communication and cross-functional project leadership, including the judgment to make day-to-day decisions independently and bring forward recommendations on broader decisions. Experience with Contentful, Vercel, Next.js, GitHub, GitLab, server-log analysis, observability, automated testing, workflow automation, cybersecurity, developer products, or a global website serving both business and consumer audiences is a plus.


What you can expect:

• Monitor and improve crawlability, indexation, rendering, site performance, structured data, internal linking, and international SEO.

• Diagnose complex technical issues and recommend priorities based on impact, effort, risk, dependencies, and business goals.

• Implement changes in the CMS and partner with Web Engineering on technical SEO requirements, acceptance criteria, and release QA.

• Lead defined technical SEO workstreams for migrations and major site changes, including redirect planning, launch monitoring, and post-launch remediation.

• Maintain agreed taxonomy, structured-content, internal-linking, and data-quality systems that support scalable content discovery.

• Build monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and repeatable processes using crawl, search, analytics, log, and CMS data.

• Use artificial intelligence (AI), scripts, application programming interfaces (APIs), and automation to scale technical analysis, quality assurance, and repeatable fixes with appropriate human oversight.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $88,000 USD and $123,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $92,000 CAD and $129,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

🏢 Work Models & Routine

Async (Asynchronous Work)
A communication model where responses don't need to be immediate. Instead of back-to-back meetings, the team relies on well-structured documents, threads, and messages. It's the gold standard for global companies spanning multiple time zones.
Sync (Synchronous Work)
The opposite of Async. It requires the team to be online and available at the same time for meetings, live chats, and real-time collaboration.
Daily / Stand-up
A quick daily meeting (usually 15 minutes) common in Agile (Scrum) methodologies. The team answers three questions: What did I do yesterday? What will I do today? Are there any blockers?
All-Hands / Town Hall

PTO (Paid Time Off)
Instead of strict, categorized leave policies, modern US companies usually offer a flexible pool of days (e.g., 20 days of PTO, or even "Unlimited PTO") that you can use for vacations, sick days, or personal matters, while receiving your regular compensation.
Equity / Stock Options
Company ownership. The startup offers you the right to buy shares at a heavily discounted strike price in the future. If the company grows, goes public, or is acquired, these shares can be highly lucrative.
Vesting (Vesting Schedule)
