Interstates is currently hiring for a Regional Manager to join our team. This unique opportunity will help lead, grow, and make an impact across our team and projects. Our Regional Managers are responsible for overseeing the operations, management, and growth of a specific region, ensuring the smooth functioning of business activities, and achieving company goals within that region.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day regional office activities within a specific region
• Foster and maintain a strong safety-first culture in both office and site environments
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures across office and field operations within the region
• Drive operational excellence ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures in each office
• Develop and mentor regional staff
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and guide development
• Collaborate for Business Development to execute sales strategies for the region
• Monitor market trends and competitors, adjusting strategies, as necessary
• Manage and track regional budgets and expenditures
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures
• Oversee project delivery in the region to deliver high quality work within scope and budget
• Coordinate with cross function teams to define project scopes, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring efficient project execution
• Build client relations within a region to support regional growth and enhance the Interstates portfolio for future opportunities
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement or growth
• Oversee recruitment needs and staffing levels to meet operational needs in the region
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related business field preferred but not required - or a combination of a related education (associate degree in skilled trade) and in-depth experience in electrical construction, automation, or industrial engineering)
- Construction and leadership experience required
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects within key industries such as food processing, energy facilities, water/wastewater plants or similar industrial environments preferred
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar industry-specific software

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Blended Office and Construction Environment: All employees, even those in traditional office positions, may be expected to visit and/or perform work on job sites, requiring flexibility to adapt to diverse environments.
This role requires frequent travel within the region. Travel may vary depending on project needs and client locations (typically within a 200-mile radius of the established office location), with occasional travel for various company meetings, as needed.
Office work is performed primarily in a modern office setting equipped with collaborative tools and technology. Employees will spend significant time operating personal computer equipment, with extended periods of screen time. Noise levels are generally low to moderate, with occasional interruptions from office activity or equipment. Flexibility in work arrangements may allow occasional remote work, depending on the assignment and business needs. Employees may be required to travel to various locations for meetings or project coordination.
Jobsite work involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven surfaces, elevated noise levels, and various workplace hazards, including the risk of electrical shock. Adherence to strict safety protocols is essential. Interstates provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, gloves, high-visibility gear, safety glasses, and role-specific safety gear.
