The role
As a Marketo Architect, you’ll lead the design and evolution of our marketing automation platform within a global MarTech team. You’ll set the platform’s direction, design scalable solutions and define governance standards. You’ll also shape how Buying Groups and Marketo Engage connect with the wider Adobe Experience Cloud, including AEP, Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer and CJA. Along the way, you’ll guide stakeholders and mentor Marketo Operations specialists through a large digital transformation.
Your day-to-day:
- Own the target architecture and governance of the Marketo Engage instance, including program templates, the data model, data quality and compliance (GDPR, CASL, CAN-SPAM, CCPA).
- Design end-to-end integrations and data flows across CRM, Marketo and the Adobe Experience Cloud (AEP, Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, CJA), and define the roadmap for adopting them.
- Lead the solution design for Buying Groups and account-based frameworks, turning business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor Marketo Operations specialists and advise stakeholders on technical options, trade-offs and recommendations.
- Assess how AI tools and automation can improve marketing operations, and lead their adoption.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of marketing automation experience, including at least 3 years in a Marketo architect, lead or solution design role in B2B enterprise environments.
- A track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale Marketo Engage implementations, migrations or instance redesigns.
- Expert command of Marketo Engage at the architectural level: program and template frameworks, lead lifecycle and scoring models, multi-workspace setups, custom objects, Velocity Scripting and API limits.
- Deep experience designing CRM integrations (Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics), including bi-directional sync strategy, custom objects, campaign member management and conflict resolution.
- Hands-on experience with Marketo Engage B2B capabilities such as Buying Groups, Account Profiling and Target Account Management, and with ABM strategy.
- Solid knowledge of the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem (AEP, Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, CJA), including XDM schemas, identity resolution and the Marketo–AEP connectors.
- Strong grasp of integration architecture: REST APIs, webhooks, middleware/iPaaS, ETL patterns and event-driven data flows.
- SQL skills and an understanding of data modeling, data warehousing and marketing data pipelines.
- Experience designing and running governance frameworks covering data privacy, consent management, access control and change management.
- Ability to produce clear architecture artifacts: solution designs, data-flow diagrams, integration specs and standards documentation.
- Proven experience mentoring technical teams and working with Product Owners, Business Architects, Data/IT teams and senior business stakeholders.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to influence decisions and explain complex technical topics in business terms.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for templates, tracking and form behavior.
- Marketo Certified Expert and Marketo Certified Solutions Architect (or Adobe Certified Master – Marketo Engage Architect) required.
- Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
