**This is a hybrid position that requires 2 days per week in office at our Bangalore location**
The Software Engineer is an intermediate-level position on the CES Connections engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing scalable, cloud-native software solutions that power Syndigo's product data integrations. This role analyzes and solves difficult problems using standard procedures and guidelines and may be accountable for planning and completing projects of medium complexity. The Software Engineer works independently with moderate supervision while continuing to build knowledge and expertise of the organization and its customers.
HOW WE’LL BE WINNING TOGETHER DAY TO DAY
- Design, develop, and test scalable, cloud-native software applications using established engineering practices, design patterns, and clean architecture.
- Build and maintain data import/export components supporting formats such as delimited files, Excel, XML, JSON, and APIs.
- Integrate internal and external systems using REST APIs, microservices, event-driven messaging, and Microsoft Azure services including Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
- Develop and support secure, performant REST APIs for data ingestion and distribution.
- Implement data mappings and transformation logic to support customer-specific schemas and business rules.
- Perform API testing and validation using Postman and existing automated test frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, integrations, and APIs, with a focus on reliability and observability.
- Write automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow established code quality standards.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams on requirements, CI/CD automation, deployment, and operations for projects of medium complexity.
- Work in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence, collaborating across global teams and time zones.
- Continue to build knowledge and expertise of Syndigo's platform, architecture, and customers, and may mentor or influence junior engineering staff.
WE SHOULD TALK IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU
- 2.5+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software using Microsoft technologies.
- Solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of experience with C# and .NET Core.
- 2+ years of experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Experience parsing and processing JSON, XML, HTML, and SQL.
- Exposure to data import/export systems and data transformations.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a cloud-native environment.
- Experience using GitHub for source control and collaboration.
- General understanding of microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of Azure Blob Storage, Application Insights, Service Bus, or similar messaging services.
- Knowledge of e-commerce or healthcare platforms (preferred but not required).
- Practical experience using AI developer tools to assist with coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, and incident analysis (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 2.5+ years of related software engineering experience.
